Courtly flintlock-demonstration pistol designed to be used to shoot fireworks by comedic entertainers. Manufactured by Allert Vette Detmold circa 1710/1720. Johan Allert (Alhard) Jakob Vette married and acquired the rights to Detmold/Lippe before he passed away in 1721. 

Technically very interesting flintlock pistol designed for the purposes of shooting small fireworks/pyrotechnics or simply for the use during baroque comedic acts. Pistol features a discretely engraved locking mechanism "ALLERT VETTE DETMOLT". 

Exceptionally rare weapon in good original condition.
