Parade Saddle Bag for an Officer Assigned to the Husar Regiments No. 7 circa 1780.
Body of saddle bag features red Moroccan leather and is covered on the front with light blue cloth. The embroidery features silver and gold bullion copper thread along with silk. The trim consists of a silver braid with three brass wire support rings at the top edge.
The "trophies of war" are bordered by laurel leaves and flags with images of the drums captured by the Husar Regiment No. 7. The uncrowned eagle is clutching a scepter and bundle of lightning bolts. The Eagle's trophy features a large golden crown.
Reverse features stamping from a Kassel equipment storage facility "KF IL-18 NR. 206" (stock KF, inventory list 18, object No. 206).
Cover width measures 255 / 295 mm, cover height 370 mm.
Interior pocket width measures 190mm / 230 mm, height 330 mm.
Pocket opening measures width 130mm, height: 120mm.
