Brass hilt, the pommel as a lion's head. Leather grip with wire wrapping and applied rosettes.

Broad oriental double-edged blade with arabesque decoration and Arabic inscription. Leather-covered wooden scabbard with broad brass mountings. On two suspension rings.

Extremely decorative and imposing massive sabre from the 2nd half of the 18th century. The blade probably Turkish hilt.
