The gilded and illuminated certificate on vellum (double sheet) written by hand with calligraphic tribute to Adolf Hitler.
With original signature of the Lord Mayor and Chairman of the General Assembly. In splendid brown leather presentation folder. The cover with gilded and coloured Hungarian coat of arms, respectively coat of arms of the city of Budapest.
The interior mirrors lined with fine suede and decorated with embossed gold edges. Inlaid leather strip with swastika flag in the centre. The reverse inner mirror with inset wax seal of the city of Budapest.
On the back of the folder coat of arms in blind embossing. The text of the document:
"The Municipal Committee of the Capital and Resident City of Budapest, in its General Assembly of 12 October 1938, after introductory words by the Lord Mayor, celebrated with boundless enthusiasm His Excellency the Führer and Chancellor of the German Reich Mr. Adolf Hitler.
The General Assembly requested and authorised the Chairman to express its undying gratitude to the Führer and Reich Chancellor of the German Reich for his heartfelt understanding and open support of the just Hungarian cause.
The General Assembly of the Municipal Committee wishes to inform Your Excellency, with all due respect and appreciation, that the citizens of the capital and residence city of Budapest cannot continue to tolerate the bitter sufferings and severe hardship of their fellow citizens. Deeply united in devoted patriotic feelings, this citizenry is prepared to make all sacrifices in order to achieve the recognition of Hungary's just claims.
The citizens of the capital and residence city of Budapest wish with heartfelt feelings that the wise resolutions of Your Excellency, directed towards the happiness and prosperity of all peoples, will be accompanied by the abundant blessings of the Almighty."
