202 Presentation Dagger to Alessandro Pavolini, Secretary General of the Facist Party during the R.S.I. (Repubblica Sociale Italiana), 1943 - 1945

 The handle and the guard made of horn worked with silver-plated fittings. The guard and the upper part of the blade form the symbol of the lictor bundle, typical for Italian fascism. Two-edged blade with a high central degree. On the obverse ricasso forming the axe blade the inscription: "X a DE LE FAG /VENEZIA / 24 - X - 942 / A.XX."

In the original presentation case with dark blue silk cover and silvered dedication plaque: "A.S.E. / ALESSANDRO PAVOLINI". Inner part with dark blue velvet lining, the inner lid with white silk lining.

Alessandro Pavolini (b. September 27, 1903 in Florence; † April 28, 1945 in Dongo, Lombardy) was an Italian fascist politician, journalist and book author. He was Italian Minister of Popular Culture from 1939 to 1943, and Secretary General of the Republican Fascist Party during the R.S.I. (Repubblica Sociale Italiana) from 1943 to 1945.
