The Third German Reich 1933 - 1945Documents and Autographs

196 Martin Bormann: Letter to the Reichsführer SS Heinrich Himmler.

The letter concerns a complaint regarding the Saxon Gauleiter Mutschmann. Letter is dated Fuhrer Headquarters, 15 February 1944 and features original Martin Borman ink signature.

"...Your message that Gauleiter Mutschmann does not know the laws and commandments of the Reich at all, I cannot accept without contradiction. On the contrary, I must stress that Gauleiter Mutschmann always obeyed the instructions I conveyed to him; ...certainly our party Comrade Mutschmann has a rough personality; but I have not the slightest doubt that you yourself can come to the same consensus with Gauleiter Mutschmann that I have have had for many years.

Heil Hitler !

Yours M. Bormann".

Interesting and extremely rare autograph. The whole diction of the content shows the powerful position that Martin Bormann held within the leadership elite of the Third Reich even when adressing extremly powerful personalities like Reichsführer SS Heinrich Himmler.
