20 Limburg: Order of Saint Philipp and the Lion of Limburg - Embroidererd Grand Cross Breast Star, ca. 1770.

 Silver lantern and sequins, the medallion in fine silk embroidery. Back with cover paper. The arms of the cross with the monograms of the 4 emperors: Henricus - Carolus - Sigismundus - Wenzeslaus.The center with figure of St. Philip.

Splendid piece in finest embroidery quality. There is only little information available on this order, of which, despite the short time of its existence, various models exist.

In this fantastic quality, early version and absolute top preservation one of the best embroidered breast stars of this interesting order from the 18th century that we have ever had on offer.
