187 Order of Saint Stanislas 3rd Class Breast Badge.

 Gold and enamel. With somewhat worn, fine old original ribbon. In the eyelet maker mark "A.W" and gold hallmark "56" , the city mark of St. Petersburg and illegible year mark.

Particularly finely crafted example with deep dark red (black) enamel. The Russian double headed eagles between the cross angles worked on both sides and finely chased. Small enamel chip in lapel medallion, otherwise only minor traces of wear.

 Rare early version around 1860.
