 Breast star to the Commander's Cross 1st class. Silver, the center and the ray bundles between the arms of the cross gold and enamel. Reverse fitted with pin for wearing. Screwed or pinned eight times on the back. Fine translucent ename. The legend with minor enamel repair, barely visibleminimal, otherwise in very good condition.

Like the Commander's badge offered in this auction, this breast star was probably made around 1870. The star is also characterized by a particularly bulbous design.

Very rare type in beautiful early Wurttemberg goldsmith work.
