Embroidered heraldic ermine coat with crowned escutcheon in gilt metal thread and silk embroidery on a blue background and surrounded by the collar chain of the Order of the Legion of Honour. The eagle - links of the collar executed in metal.

On the reverse an old paper label from Jean Bourguignon, Président du Conseil d'Administration du Musée de l'Armée, regarding the transfer of this coat of arms.

Very interesting and splendid piece from the period of the 2nd Empire (1852 - 1870).
