293 Prussia: Winged cap, model 1843, for officers in the 5th Landwehr Hussar Regiment.

  Black patent leather, black cloth cover, the wing lined with gold fabric. Hatched silvered numeral "5" in front. Large Landwehr cross on right. Wide, domed gilt scale chains on rosettes. Lashed black leather lining and sweat leather. Field insignia in officer's design.

Very rare and well preserved old piece of this type of cap worn only until 1850. Only minor signs of wear and in very nice overall color fresh condition.
