Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. Iron core with silver frame. Early example made by Klein & Quenzer, still without the maker's stamp "65" in the ring. Silver stamp "800" on the reverse below the eyelet. The ring also stamped "800". On the unassembled original ribbon.

Very fine example in best quality and excellent condition.

In the original caseof issue made of black imitation leather. Hinge and push button magnetic. Interior with black velvet inlay, the inner lid with white artificial silk lining. Signs of wear commensurate with age.

Comes with the preliminary award certificate to First Lieutenant Hielscher, Chief 5th / Art. Rgt. 168 for the award on 23.8. 1944. Dated 30. August 1944. With official seal of the Army Personnel Office and original signature of Generalleutnant Burgdorf.

Accompanied by the roll of honour naming the Knight's Cross award to First Lieutenant Hielscher.

German Cross in Gold. Made of tombac, by Deschler, Munich. The wreath gilded on a red enamelled ring. The swastika enamelled black (enamel chip). Reverse fitted with pin for wearing with maker's mark "1". On the back four ball-headed rivets.

Comes with preliminary award certificate to Lieutenant Hielscher, 3rd / A.R. 168, dated 5 May 1943. With service seal of the Army Personnel Office and facsimile signature of Field Marshal Keitel. Accompanied by the roll of honour naming the German Cross awarded to Lieutenant Hielscher.

Iron Cross 1st Class. Iron core with silver plated frame. Slightly domed design. On broad pin with maker's mark "L/12" (Juncker, Berlin). With award certificate dated 15.09.1941. With official seal and original signature of the commander of the 68th Infantry Division, Major General Georg Braun.

Iron Cross 2nd Class. Iron core with silver plated frame. On the original ribbon. With award certificate dated 29.06. 1941. With official seal and original signature of the commander of the 68th Infantry Division, Major General Georg Braun.

General Assault Badge. Fine zinc finish. On pin with maker's mark "4". Comes with certificate of ownership dated 7 June 1942 with service seal and original signature of the commander of the 68th Infantry Division Major General Robert Meissner.

Wound Badge in Silver. Fine zinc finish, on pin. Accompanied by the award certificate for being wounded three times, dated 8 October 1943, with original signature of a medical officer.

Wound badge in black. Black lacquered iron version. On pin. Accompanied by the award certificate dated 28 March 1942 with service seal and original signature of the commander of the I. Abteilung Artillerie - Regiment 168.
