Early version with lying swastika. Red flag cloth with separately sewn-on white field with hand-sewn swastika made of black fabric panels. In the upper left angles on both sides the designation "I/5" (Sturmbann I, SS - Standarte 5 - Trier) embroidered in aluminium - metal threads on a black background. The designation field is edged with aluminium cord.

Three-sided fringe of black wool fringes interwoven with aluminium threads. The side facing the flagpole has a fabric panel sewn around it for reinforcement. Attached flag rings for attaching to the flagpole.

Extremely rare official troop flag of the Allgemeine SS in very nice condition.

Only a few original examples have survived.
