This extremely finely crafted and splendid type of portfolio has, contrary to numerous false attributions, nothing to do with the German Order. 

The certificate for the 3rd grade (highest level) of the NSDAP service award was presented in these cassette-like folders. Occasionally, particularly prominent personalities also received the certificates for the lower grades in these magnificent presentation folders.
