108 Adolf Hitler: Mirror from the New Reichs - Chancellery Berlin.
Silver with polished mirror. The reverse with applied sovereign eagle and the letters "RK" (Reichskanzlei).
On the lower rim silver mark "925", crown and half moon as well as the maker's mark "FHW" of the Wandinger brothers Franz and Hermann.
In addition to representative presentation objects commissioned by Adolf Hitler, the Wandinger brothers also produced the gold-plated fittings and national eagles for cassettes and folders of the award certificates of the higher grades of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.
This mirror, as well as cutlery and other articles for toilet sets, was commissioned by Adolf Hitler for the rooms of the New Reich Chancellery in Berlin.
While some of the examples used at the Berghof with the initials "AH" are known in collections, the hand mirror from the New Reich Chancellery offered here is, to my knowledge, the only piece offered at auction to date.
Highly interesting piece on the history of the New Reich Chancellery from Hitler's personal surroundings.
A magnificent collector's item of great rarity.
