German Orders and Medals

9 Princely Hohenzollern House Order. First model (1841-1851). Miniature of the Cross of Honour 2nd Class.

Gold and enamel, the eyelet broken off. The front medallion with the Hohenzollern coat of arms resting on a crowned ermine mantle in the finest enamel painting. The reverse medallion with the founder's cipher.

A magnificent example in particularly fine jeweller's quality and in excellent condition. The broken ring loop is easily restorable.

Although only a miniature, this piece is of outstanding importance to the history of the Order, as only a handful of examples of the 1st model have survived worldwide.

Order miniature of the greatest rarity.
