23 Great Britain: Order of Bath - Breast Star to the Grand Cross (Civil Division).

Silver, the medallion enamelled white. The crowns separately applied in gold and enamel with enamelled ermine trim. The inscription in translucent red enamel with the motto "TRIA JUNCTA IN UNO" separately applied in gold. The letters finely chiselled. On a genuine gold pin. The maker's mark "WN" on the reverse.

Highly interesting early breast star from the middle of the 19th century. This example comes from the legendary Jim Risk Collection and is illustrated and described in the profound standard work Jim Risk: The History of the Order of the Bath, Plate XXIII , No.1.
