With a personal, handwritten letter from Paul von Hindenburg to Konstantin von Neurath with New Year's wishes and the message that he does not need the "mediation or even instruction" of a mutual acquaintance. Dated Berlin, 30 December 1929, with original signature "v. Hindenburg". With an envelope addressed by Hindenburg himself to the German ambassador in Rome, Baron von Neurath.
