Embroidered example made of gilded silver wire, silver threads and sequins. The fleur-de-lys in the corners of the cross made of embossed gilded silver sheet. The depiction of Saint Louis in the medallion is of particularly fine and three-dimensional embroidery quality. Original backing paper on the reverse.

This example was awarded to the Prussian state chancellor (1810-1822) and reformer Karl August von Hardenberg.
