On the blade, on the bolster in a gold cartouche, on the obverse ‘Ferdinando II’, on the reverse ‘Re delle Due Sicilie’. Blade with gilt decorative inlays on both sides.
On the black wooden handle, in a gold circle, on the front the crowned royal monogram ‘F.II’, on the back three Bourbon lilies (fleur de lys).
