Black lacquered leather skull with silver-plated fittings. Front-mounted silver-plated Garde eagle with the Prussian Garde star (Order of the Black Eagle). The medallion enameled. Flat yellow chain scales attached to officer's cockades, Reich cockade on the left, Prussian cockade on the right. Top plate with gilt stars and smooth spike (thread missing). Original light silk grosgrain lining and light brown leather sweatband. Leather cracked and with losses in places.
