Black lacquered leather skull with gilt fittings. Front-mounted gilt Guard eagle with frosted silver Guard star (Order of the Black Eagle) in especially domed execution. Flat yellow scale chains on officer-pattern cockades. On the left the Reich cockade, on the right the Prussian cockade. Top plate with split pins and ball spike. Original bright silk grosgrain lining and light brown leather sweatband. Size marked 55 1/2.

Very fine, completely untouched helmet in excellent quality and condition.
