Non-magnetic hilt, wooden grip covered in black leather with wire wrapping. Straight fullered back-edged blade with Austrian double eagle engraved on both sides. Marked on the spine: “Pöttenstein”.

With contemporary, though not original, iron scabbard with two suspension rings.

Fine and rare Austrian edged weapon of the 18th century.
