 Großes Präsentationsetui. Holz mit Namensschild auf dem Deckel. Innen auf rotem Samt das versilberte Mützenabzeichen, 1 Paar vergoldete Battalionsauflagen,  1 Paar versilberte Kragenabzeichen und die mit Namen gravierten Auszeichnungen:

Distinguished Conduct Medal. 1.Typ, an Band; 1914/15 Star an Band; British War Medal 1914/18 und Siegesmedaille 1918 mit einem auf dem Band aufgelegten Eichenzweig.

Die Innenseite des Deckels ist mit grünem Samt ausgelegt und mit der militärischen Vita des Beliehenen eingelegt:

1176 Sergeant James McCombie. 1st battalion Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. Wounden in action - 25th November 1915 (Kut-al-Amara). Awarded D.C.M. - London Gazette 22nd January 1916;

 "For conspicious gallantry and abillity at Kur-al-Amara (Mesopotamia) on 28th September 1915. He kept up communications under heavy fire and after his officer was wounded, took command of his section and set a fine example to all ranks".

Commissioned Lieutenant - 6th Battalion Gordon Highlanders in the field while besiged in Kut - 16th January 1916. Captured Kut-al-Amara 29th April 1916. Turkish P.O.W. April 1916 . December 1918.
