Officer's Gorget of the Preobrazhensky Regiment of the Imperial Russian Garde features gilded and enamel construction. The regimental dates 1683 - 1850 - 1883 separately applied. Obverse features separately applied Czarist Crown above an Andreas Cross. The blue enamel with fine "Guillochierung" and the tips of the cross with the gold letters "SAPR" (Sanctus Andreas Patronus Russiae). Cross features separately attached holly figure and a Czarist crown in the finest enameled jeweler quality. Czarist crown with superior quality translucent red enamel. Back side of gorget with original red cloth backing.
