283 Hirschfänger um 1800 mit kleinem Tragegurt und Beimesser.

Exceptionally elaborately designed deer hunter circa 1800 with small carrying strap and by-knife. The handle is made of gilded brass with horn grip scales on both sides. The pommel of the handle is a beautifully sculpted and raised head of a boar. The short Empire-style quillons are set off in a pyramid shape with wavy leaf decoration on both sides. In the center of the frame is a plastically designed jumping stag and on the opposite side is a flower. The small engraving is decorated with deeply incised leaves and tendrils. The blade, which most likely originates from an old blank weapon, has a flat, wide gouge on both sides and is sharpened to a point. The leather scabbard with integrated knife has a gilded brass guard and mouth plate. The ends of the scabbard are decorated with raised ornamentation in the form of a flower surrounded by vines and leaf patterns. The partially sculptured tendril work is on the one hand limited accompanying but also partially circumferentially executed. The mouth plate has a carrying ring to which a short leather hilt with silver threads and an oval belt ring is attached for hooking into a snap hook. The knife is plain and has a horn grip. A very nicely preserved and in the design exceptional stag hunter of high quality. Condition: 1 - 2 Price: 800,- Euro
