266 Gewehr Model 98.

Serial number 5577b, All matching Gewehr model 98 8 x 57mm maker marked for SPANDAU with production year 1913 shows wear/age. Top of receiver is marked with crown over "SPANDAU" and year of production "1913" Left side is marked with Prussian eagle (military acceptance stamp) , serial number 5577b and model nomenclature "Gew. 98", right side marked with acceptance stamp and three Gothic letters under a crown. Left side of barrel is marked with serial number 5577b, top is marked with the letter "S" and caliber 7,9. Bore is in overall good condition. 

All appropriate parts feature acceptance stamps and weapon serial numbers. The original factory finish rates 90% showing much wear to the magazine cover. 

The stock shows wear/age with minor sanding still, in overall good condition. The original two piece butt features the EWB markings to the right side and an earlier unit stamp "Tr.St.78.R.8.237."
