 Kingdom of the Two Sicilies - Constantinian Order of Saint George. Collar Chain. Gold and enamels. The collar consists of 9 alternating links. 5 medallions with the badge of the order in gold and enamels, surrounded by a laurel wreath as well as 4 links with the Order's Cross in a modified form with a blue enamelled medallion. The links connected by flower-shaped rosettes.The ends with eyelets and a buttoned ribbon in light blue moiré silk, the colour of the order. The back finely polished. The centre link with curved carrying hook for the grand cross badge. Interesting shortened version of the order's collar chain in the finest goldsmith's workmanship, dating from the middle of the 19th century. Only a few examples of the Collar of the Constantinian Order of St. George from the period of the Kingdom of Naples and the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies have survived and these pieces are extremely rare. The Collar offered here has a particularly beautiful design and is of excellent jeweller's quality.
