46 Order of the Golden Fleece - Award Document from Emperor Francis I., 1763.

Large-format parchment document on the conferment of the Order of the Golden Fleece on Princes Livio de Bracciano, Count Charles de Firmian and Count Antoin de Belgiojoso by Emperor Francis I Stephen (1708 - 1765).

The Emperor appoints the three new Knights of the Fleece and authorises the Duke of Modena, also a Knight of the Golden Fleece, to perform in his name the investiture, take the oath and to present the new Knights with the collar chains of the Order.

The text, as with all documents of the Order of the Golden Fleece, is in French, the language of the Order.

Dated Vienna, 28 September 1763. With original signature of Emperor Francis I and countersignature by the Chancellor of the Order as well as large paper embossed seal of the Order of the Golden Fleece.

Very rare award document of this important knightly order in excellent condition.
