  Dark green tunic with red trim, gold embroidered guard laces on collar and lapels. Gilded buttons. Complete with passersby and epaulettes with green fields, gold crescents and red lining. Comes with parade sash made of silver-plated metal threads with black pull-throughs. Black breeches with red side patches. Patent boots with stop spurs. Officer's cartouche box for the guard made of patent leather. Silver-plated and enameled plastic star of the Black Eagle Order on the lid. Absolute best condition. Bandolier made of red cloth with applied gold braid. Magnificent gilded fittings with stag's head (four-toed), chain with pipe on it. Below oval gilded shield with applied Prussian eagle and hunting horn. On the left is a socket for the whistle. Underbuckle hanger with black lacquered tug and gilded frog. Matching lion head saber for Guard - Cavalry - Officers circa 1912. Gilt hilt with deep relief, the lion with red glass eyes. On the bow crown over eagle shield with trophies. Original fish skin handle with wrap. Enameled guard star on laurel on the tercet. Nickel-plated, fullered blade. Black iron scabbard with a suspension ring. Comes with the very well preserved portepee. Comes with the officer's helmet for guard - cavalry regiments with yellow buttons in the form from 1897. Leather with gilded fittings, front mounted guard eagle with high arched silvered and enameled guard star of finest quality. Arched gilt scale chains on rosetteswith both cockades. Striped linen lining and fine light brown leather sweatband. Smooth service peak (unlike the helmet for generals). Leather somewhat scarred, but overall beautiful and splendid helmet. The corps usually consisted of a maximum of 80 officers, lieutenants and first lieutenants and was usually commanded by a major general. This ensemble comes from the legendary Brand Collection and was auctioned at Jan K. Kube, Die Sammlung Brand 3rd part, September 25, 2010, lot 135 - 137.
