2nd type clasp. This example is made of solid silver. The pin is marked “900” for the silver content and the reverse is marked “L/52” in a box for the company of C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim. The mark is similar to “L/52” on Zimmermann Iron Cross 1st Class 1939.

No other example known to excist so far. The example offered here is published in "The Iron Cross 1. Class" by Dietrich Maerz/Georg Simson, Richmond, 2010, page 533.

An excessively rare and outstanding example in excellent condition.
