Cupal and non-ferrous metal partially gilded, the swastika enameled in black. Reverse fitted with pin with maker's mark "20" of the company C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim. Reverse with four hollow rivets.
In original case of issue made of black imitation leather, the lid with embossed gold edge. Inner part with black spray felt inlay, the inner lid with white artificial silk lining.
Comes with a number of photos and postcards from the estate of Sergeant Major Margstein, including some photos of the recipient in Wehrmacht uniform as well as from his service with the RAD and correspondence with family members.
