123 Mecklenburg - Schwerin: Generals Helmet.

 Leather helmet with silver-plated cross-leaf mountings and applied matt silver-plated stars. Fluted top.

Front emblem as a gilt sun with applied silver-plated and enamelled star of the Order of the Wendish Crown in a particularly high domed design.

Curved silver-plated  chin scales on officers' cockades, the Mecklenburg cockade on the right, the Imperial cockade on the left.

Green / red inner visors. With inner lining of light silk rib and light brown leather sweatband. Inner bell with original screw fitting.

Very rare helmet of which only a few examples are known in private collections.
