86 Noble Lady's Monastic Order Badge of "Maria Schul" in Brünn.

Decoration of the noble chanoinesses. Gold and enamel. Without ribbon. The Holy Virgin in the medallion in particularly vivid execution and finest enamel painting. Chipped on the upper rim. The crown is movable and finely chiselled. Chipped in the red enamel.

This convent was founded on 29.1.1653 as a free catholic convent for ladies. The statutes were confirmed by Emperor Franz II in 1793. In 1880, the title of Imperial and Royal Ladies' Convent "Maria Schul" was conferred. The supreme patroness was always the wife of the Emperor of Austria.

Beautiful and very rare monastic order from the late 18th century or early 19th century.
