80 Sovereign Order of Malta: Badge dating from the 2nd Half of the 17th Century.

 Gold and enamel. The crown in a particularly sculptural filigree design, typical of 17th century examples. Polychrome enamelled. Band ring with rosette-shaped decoration on both sides. The fleur de lys between the arms of the cross in a highly stylised design.

Exceptionally rare, important early order cross of finest goldsmith's workmanship and excellent condition.
