17 Military Merit Cross (Pour le Mérite for Soldiers and NCOs) awarded to Sergeant Franz Wietschorke.

 Silver - gilt, with original ribbon. On the lower arm of the cross the stamped maker's mark "W" of the court jewellers Wagner & Sohn, Berlin and the silver mark "938".

Included is the original award document to "Sergeanten der Reserve Franz Wietschorke beim Feldartillerieregiment von Diebkau (Schlesischen) No.6". Dated Berlin, April 17 1918. With original ink signature of the representative of the Generalordenskommission "Kanitz".

Very nice, worn original example of this highest Prussian award for bravery for other ranks, which was therefore popularly called "Pour le Mérite for non-commissioned officers and soldiers".

Especially with it's award document very rare.
