 Case of issue for the bestowal of the Order's collar. Black linen, the lid with gold embossed inscription: "GARTER".

The interior with cream-coloured velvet inlay with a recess for the George and silk lining. In the white silk lining of the inner lid the maker's mark of the court jewellers Spink & Son, London.

Very rare original case for a collar chain from the last third of the 20th century.
