122 Hesse - Kassel: Infantry Officers helmet.

 High leather helmet complete with gilt mountings. The Hessian lion applied to the front in fine quality. Cross blade with four gilt star screws. With smooth top with ventilating mechanism. Long hackle on the back. Convex gilded chin scales . On the left leather - metal cockade in the colours of Electoral Hesse.

Inside all bow nuts fore peak inside with green leather lining. Original  leather lining.

Very beautifully preserved rare helmet.
