179 Imperial Austrian Officers Belt Buckle, 2nd Half of the 18th Century.

 Bronze - gilded, partly silver-plated. In the centre the Austrian double-headed eagle with the portrait of the imperial couple, Empress Maria - Theresa and Emperor Franz I, and the corresponding monograms. The plumage and the crown chased.

Movable clasp on the right. Movable two-pin mechanism on the back on both sides for attachment to the belt or sash.

Very nice belt buckle of fine quality and certainly made for a high ranking officer.
