 Field grey cloth with pink overlays. Green waistband with embroidered oak wreath and metal cockade. Aluminium national eagle. Anodised aluminium cap cord. Embossed lacquer peak, fine cracks due to age. Original light-coloured lining with plastic trapeze and maker's label "Robert Voit / Meiningen". In the light brown leather sweatband, perforated at the front, recipient's initials "SE".

Beautiful well worn original. Minor moth damage.
