151 Säbel des Typs Petit Montmorency aus der Zeit der Französischen Revolution.

Gilt brass hilt with oak leaf decoration and medallion with Jacobin cap (Bonnet Phrygia). Handle covered with black leather with frah wrapping. Pommel in the shape of a lion's head.

Fullered single-edged blade with remnants of bluing and gilded etched decoration. On the obverse side "VIVE LE ROI". The reverse with fleur de lys.

Without scabbard.

Beautiful and rare edged weapon from the beginning of the French Revolution, respectively from the period of the constitutional monarchy 1791/1792. Afterwards the word "Roi" (King) and the Bourbon fleur de lys were no longer used and partly even erased, respectively made unrecognisable.

As a result, only a few objects have survived that display both royalist and revolutionary symbols.

Typical edged weapon of the French Revolution. Very rare.
