Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. Iron core with silver frame. On later ribbon. On the reverse below the eyelet the silver stamp "800" and the maker's mark "20" of the company C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim. The ring equally marked "800".

Very rare Knight's Cross type, especially with maker's mark.

Comes with the preliminary award certificate  for Colonel Emil Schuler, Commander Geb. Jäger - Rgt. 218. on 9.12.1944. The preliminary is dated 15.12.1944. With original signature of Lieutenant General Linnarz (without seal).

Accompanied by a photo of Emil Schuler  with Knight's Cross ánd several photos of the Knight's Cross award ceremony and related newspaper clipping.

Army Honour Clasp. Gilt tombac version. Heavily worn award piece with solder repairs on the back. Original ribbon with traces of glue on the back. Attached is the 1957 version worn during his time in the Bundeswehr. Accompanied by a photo of Emil Schuler with Knight's Cross and Honour Clasp.

Accompanied by the German Army Honour Citation dated 27 October 1943 naming Lieutenant Colonel Schulers, Commander of a Mountain Infantry Regiment. Perforated.

German Cross in Gold. Early 6 - riveted piece with short pin. Tombac version. The swastika enamelled in black. Pin contemporary renewed. With engraving on reverse: "16.9. Kiev 1941".

Much worn original award piece with clear signs of age and use.

Comes with the large award certificate to Major Emil Schuler, Commander I.R. 218. Dated Headquarters, 3 November 1941. With original signature Generalfeldmarschall von Brauchitsch in black ink.

The document formerly framed and trimmed. Accompanied by a photo of the recipient with the German Cross in Gold.

Iron Cross 1st Class 1939. Iron core with silver-plated frame. Reverse fitted with pin. On the reverse engraving " M.P. 16./17. 7. 1941". Accompanied by the award certificate to Major Emil Schuler. dated 17.7.1941. With original signature of the division commander Lieutenant General v. der Chevallerie and service seal.

Iron Cross 2nd Class 1939. Iron core with silver plated frame. On the original ribbon. Together with the award certificate to Captain Schuler 4th (MG) / Inf. Rgt. 21. dated 19 September 1939. With original signature Major General Loch, Commander of the 17th Division. Accompanied by letter of transmittal from the battalion commander of the I. Battalion, Infantry - Regiment 21 as well as handwritten message dated 5.9.1939.

Wound badge in black. Iron, blackened, reverse fitted with pin. Accompanied by the award certificate to Lieutenant Colonel Emil Schuler, Geb. Jäg. Rgt. 218, dated 12.8.1943. With official seal and original signature of the division commander of the 7th Mountain Division, Lieutenant General August Krakau.

Lapland shield. Post-war tombac version. Edelweis sleeve badge and cap badge. Embroidered breast eagle for the uniform (officer's version).

Comes with photo postcard of Knight's Cross recipient Major General August Krakau, Commander of the 7th Mountain Division. Newspaper clipping "Fränkischer Gebirgsjäger in Finnland" about Emil Schuler. Newspaper clipping "The Defender of Rovaniemi - A Knight's Cross Recipient from Fürth" about Colonel Schuler.

Various documents including: Invitation to Reit - Turnier 1938, memorial leaflet of former comrades, invitation to the troop swearing-in ceremony 1942, field postcard of a comrade dated 1.1.1945. Letter of appreciation from the commander in the Wehrbereich VI. of the Bundeswehr from 1962 and postcard from the Defence District Command Munich.

Also print of a drawing of Colonel Emil Schuler from 1944 and portrait photo with steel helmet with dedication on the reverse to his mother "in memory of the difficult days of the Russian campaign. "Signed: "Emil 1941".

In addition, three photos of Schuler in Bundeswehr uniform as well as three colour photos of the gravestone.
