The HJ - Emblem made of  painted wood. This example is already completely nailed. Back with iron wall mount and manufacturer's label of the company Gottfr. Glasmachers, Essen.

Comes with the extremely rare booklet "Hitlerjugend im Dienst des Winterhilfswerks" (Hitler Youth in the Service of the Winter Relief Organisation) with a detailed description of the nailing of the coat of arms to be carried out for the benefit of the WHW in all schools and public places on 6 and 12 November respectively. The proceeds of 5 Pf. per nail hammered in were donated to the Winterhilfswerk. The nailed HJ emblems ´remained in the schools as souvenirs for display.

Highly interesting historical object  and excellently suited for a museum exhibition on the Hitler Youth or the social history of the Third Reich.
