137 Saxony: Gardereiter Enlisted Soldiers and NCO's Parade Helmet.

Tombac helmet with silver-plated fittings. The attached parade lion with somewhat rubbed silver plating. Minimally dented on the back. Front shield with applied crowned cipher "FA" . Back with impressed number "31". Silver-plated star emblem on front, with gilded Saxon coat of arms. Curved yellow chin scales on with cockades (Saxony on the left, Reich on the right). Inside visor on front shield with stamped inscription "C.5.II.  Inside with stamped size designation: "55-5". Inner visors lacquered green, respectively the rear visor with green leather lining. Original, lashed light brown leather lining (cord missing). Lion held by winged screw.

Beautiful, much worn helmet, original in all parts.
