184 Russia: Cartouche Box for an Artillery Officer of the Imperial Guard.

Silver-plated copper lid with applied guard star of the Imperial Russian Order of St. Andrew above crossed cannon barrels. The center gilt and enamelled. The star loose, cotter pins broken off on the back. Russian maker's mark in the upper left corner of the lid.

Back with black velvet lining with wide gold-embroidered border. The cartridge box iron, covered with brown leather. Lateral carrying lugs.

With original bandelier of silver-plated metal threads. Back with red lining, or leather strap. Silver-plated mountings.

Minimal signs of wear and use consistent with its age.

Very beautiful, finely crafted cartouche box in excellent condition. Very rare, especially with bandelier.
