282 Silver Officer's Presentation miniature kettledrum of the 1st Brandenburg Dragoon Regiment No.2.

Silver. In the bottom maker's mark of the court jewellers "J. WAGNER & SOHN" as well as silver stamp "800", crown and half moon. Around 1888 / 1890.

The kettledrum as a bowl on three claw feet. The kettledrum hanging in fine silver relief with alternating Prussian coats of arms and the cipher "FWR" of King Friedrich Wilhelm III.

Filigree work on the 8 tensioning screws and the removable crossed decorative mallets on the timpani.

The names of the officers engraved in two rows on the upper rim: v. Schulenburg, v. Bismarck, v. Blücher, v. Bonin, v. Bredow, v,Puttkammer, v. Kalckreuth, v. Hardenberg, v. Arnim, v. Lützow, v. Platen, v.d. Groeben, v. Blumental, v. Winterfeld and others.

Important piece of regimental silver of the 1st Brandenburg Dragoon Regiment, which its officers had made as a gift, presumably for a retiring regimental commander.

Outstanding historical collector's item.
